Does your school have students with limited mobility or who are unable to functionally walk or run?
ParaQuad Tasmania would love to visit your school for FREE with their fleet of frame runners (three) to provide an opportunity and memorable experience for students.
Frame Running is suitable for all ages – those who use a wheelchair, walkers or have an unsteady gait – as the sport gives athletes with high support needs who cannot compete in a racing wheelchair or ambulant running events the unprecedented opportunity for aerobic competition on the athletics track.
School sessions (1 hour max) will be tailored to suit the individual needs of students and your school. An indoor smooth hard surface is required, though grassed areas can be used with more difficulty.
Contact Kevin for more information or to arrange a free session for your students this term!

Apply now for Round 8 of the Para-sport Equipment Fund!
With thanks to funding from Toyota Community Foundation, Paralympics Australia is able to provide three additional rounds of funding.
Applications for Round 8 will close on Friday 29 July, 2022, with notification of outcomes of all applications prior to Friday 18 August, 2022.
See the eligibility requirements and the selection process for more details.
What is the Para-sport Equipment Fund
The Para-sport Equipment fund is a joint initiative of Paralympics Australia and Sport Australia, supported by Paralympics Australia’s sponsors and donors.
It is designed to provide opportunities for Australians with disabilities to participate and compete in Para-sport by addressing some of the most significant challenges faced by Para-athletes and programs; the costs associated with obtaining Para-sport equipment, which in many cases must be customised for the participant.
Delivered in collaboration with Paralympics Australia’s key stakeholders, the fund aims to offer a range of equipment access solutions for Para-athletes and participation programs to enable more people with a disability to participate in Para-sport.
The primary focus of the program is to support individuals and programs at the entry participation level, however Para-athletes and programs with a focus of higher levels within the pathway may also be considered.
