- Little Friends Scholarship Program
The Little Friends Scholarship Program supports children affected by domestic violence.
Back to school time is an exciting time for many children but for some families it can be incredibly stressful trying to find the funds to provide their children with everything they need for school. Book lists, school stationary, uniforms and school fees – it all adds up.
Little Friends provides bi-annual scholarships in two categories to ensure all children have the ability to either further their education and be able to participate in extra-curricular activities that they may not be able to pursue due to the financial impact of Domestic and Family Violence within their family environment:
- Educational: such as school fees, laptops, ipads or other devices required for school, textbooks, stationery requirements, specialised equipment such as art supplies, or uniforms. It may also include costs for excursions, camps, access to academic competitions, or school uniforms.
- Extra-Curricular: such as sporting equipment, sport uniforms, tuition costs, training or transport costs. It may also include equipment for music, the arts or to cover the costs of representative teams, sign-up or registration fees for a sporting season, competition, debating, or some element of the arts.
